I'm not going back. I won't be returning to daily make-up and underwires. I'm done with a commute that's longer than two minutes. Who I spend time with will remain small and close knit and my accomplishments will be measured in caked mud and words written. Meditation and new music daily will remain essential. And finally, I'll continue to remember that people are fragile, including me, and not to add to the friction.
I will still work. Bills will be paid and groceries bought. Life will have its scaffolding as it always has, but how I build it out from there has forever changed. And I'm not going back.
